PREFABRICA - 07-27-2011

Hello everyone, Prefabrica is reporting to be alive again :) We've been working hard on some projects we'll be happy to announce soon, however, we've not forgotten about Second Life in the meantime. I'd like to share some of the news that cumulated recently. Prefabrica brand has expanded and now incorporates quite a few activities apart from the stock resources store. Let's talk about the two most important of them:

The first is the SLPG Prague Prefabrica Airport. It has grown from a 1/3sim runway to one of the largest aviation spots in SL - and got featured in the Destination Guide just recently. It now stretches across three simulators (St Diabloux, Avignon and Croix), features two ocean attached runways, plenty of space for taxiing and other flight operations. There's a brand new residental area attached to the airport - the Rabbit Lights fly-in community. You'll find houses for rent, each with a private hangar or open parking space, all attached to the main area via network of taxiways. It's freshly open and every aviator is welcome.

The Prefabrica air fleet also got quite a few new additions. We have released more custom paints for the F-1 RazorBill, P-1 CloudKite, P-1 SeaKite and P-2 Goose. All utilizing our seamless custom texturing system with easy application. Moreover, we're preparing a fully custom set for each plane that will contain the textures and application kit to make your plane really personal. Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming new airplanes as well - we have got three new pieces coming soon!

Now let's look at racing. The Corse GP racing track (also featured in Destiantion Guide) got some new features and enhancements. We have new sexy HUDs that not only measure your laptimes, but also show your position in the new official races. Another quite fine feature is that now you can also let your car earn for itself: every week the best laptimes in each of our car and bike classes get a L$ reward - the counter resets itself then so it's a clean shot for everyone again. All the info is displayed on the dedicated microsite at: gp.bytegang.com. By now nearly a thousand registered racers circled over 170 000 laps (!) and I personally find that very impressing.

The admin team at the track has been very active too and the life on the track is now much more interesting. You can join the driving school in the new learning centre to improve your driving and beat the best out there, you can enter the League for a long term racing competition or just have a quick photo session with the track's court photographer. For the party people we have the regular Hot Corse Nights events featuring live music, car show and modding contests. Prefabrica MESH also has some new releases to promote. Be it the new 40 meters fullperm Schooner for ship builders, the Street decoration series (1,2), the very useful Awards and Cups builder's kit or some Workshop tools to decorate your garage. All textured and in highest quality.

We also expanded the CITIES product line. The Store/Mall multifunctional building has got two more sizing options (2,3) we have released a cool grungy urban factory in three variations (1,2,3) and we're adding our first residental building - with furniture and modern, classy style. Be sure there's more to come in the CITIES line as well as in the other fields we're focusing on :)

Prefabrica launches a new brand - the Giglu music network. Focusing on high quality equipment for DJs and partying, it initially brings you over 10 pieces to set up your own DJ booth. The stuff brought by Giglu is not only highly detailed and fancy looking, but has some neat features as well. You can use it to manage your parcel media stream quickly and easily - either by choosing from our pre-set stations list, or by setting up your own list of streams to switch between.

PREFABRICA - 11-18-2010

A lot of stuff got piled up here and we're finally getting to release it. Hope your xmass shopping steps head towards the Prefabrica stores :) Let's begin with the vehicles for the super popular CorseGP racing track:

We finally solved the riddle with the bumps on prim seams. It took a lot of time and effort to find such a small workaround, but yeah, we're there at last. All of our vehicles got new sculpted wheels as result of it, and we're adding three new models to the line. All of them coming with addon paint jobs, the complete vehicles line also got tuned up and there's been a visible shift in the best lap times being made on the track now.

The first to introduce is the Rascal sport roadster. It's the smallest and cheapest of our rides, however, it only falls some 0:05 seconds a lap behind the fastest racing special. In the middle of the power curve lays the Wasp - a luxurious sport coupe for the ones that appreciate high style of their wheels. The last is the most powerful of the current vehicle line - The Raptor. Built in the best tradition of 24hr LeMans racing, it's truly the right fire charriot to beat the top laptimes on the course. Check out the stylish paint jobs available now and be sure there's more of them coming soon. The CorseGP is getting increasingly busy, and we've got some great enhancements for the track coming before xmass - there will be races, a lot of races, a lot prizes to win, so it's a good idea to start practicing while you still can :)

The second part of the news is the standard Prefabrica production. We're releasing two new vehicle builder kits. I'm sure all the sailors of the metaverse will be happy about the Sailboat builder's kit that we're adding today. It's precisely sculpted, with realistic textures and great looks. I'm really looking forward to see it sail, so be sure to ping me with some results, builders! Not enough of vehicles, we're adding a second WWII armor - the King Tiger - huge and powerful german army tank - coming with realistic texturing in two colors - a great company to our successful Jagdpanzer. I'm sure it's going to be loved just as much :)

And - last but not least - it's almost christmass time - all the sims are being decorated and we want to contribute to this. Thus the timely release of two Christmass decor builders kits - the first one in standard PFB style with baked shadowmaps and VERY friendly price tag, while the second one is a more sophicticated, larger, and with realistic texturing. Let the carrols sound through the grid! :)
